(Mus\u00e9e Cond\u00e9, Chantilly; source of image: Wikimedia Commons)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The inventory of d&#8217;Holbach&#8217;s correspondence, released to coincide with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsecs.org.uk\/isecs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8216;Enlightenment Identies&#8217;, the ISECS International Congress on the Enlightenment 2019<\/a>, which took place earlier this month at the University of Edinburgh, has been compiled by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hertford.ox.ac.uk\/staff\/dr-ruggero-sciuto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr Ruggero Sciuto<\/a> of Hertford College, Oxford. Together with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voltaire.ox.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Voltaire Foundation<\/a>, and with funding from the <a href=\"https:\/\/mellon.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew W. Mellon Foundation<\/a>, Dr Sciuto is preparing a digital edition of the complete works of the German-born, but French-naturalized, philosopher. As work on the edition progresses and further letters come to light, this listing will be enlarged and the metadata in EMLO expanded and enhanced, and updates will be showcased in future posts on this blog.<\/p>\n<p>Details of all the papers and round-tables that took place at the Congress in Edinburgh may be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsecs.org.uk\/isecs\/en\/programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online<\/a> (where the eagle-eyed will spot an appearance by the Cultures of Knowledge project director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.st-annes.ox.ac.uk\/about\/people\/profile?tx_oxford_pi1%5Bstaff%5D=34&amp;cHash=4a45a17a9b2b3e1b62548f0a2cc00ad6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Professor Howard Hotson<\/a>, who took part in a discussion entitled &#8216;Expanding digital eighteenth-century studies&#8217;).
