The conference in question, &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ochjs.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Mishnah-Conf-Prog-web-version.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Mishnah in Early Modern Europe: Jewish Law for Christians and Jews<\/a>&#8216; is the concluding event in a six-month international research project led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orinst.ox.ac.uk\/people\/piet-van-boxel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Piet van Boxel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orinst.ox.ac.uk\/people\/joanna-weinberg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joanna Weinberg<\/a> and based at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ochjs.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies<\/a>. On the concluding day of this conference, at 2.55 p.m. today, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uu.nl\/medewerkers\/DKWvanMiert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dirk van Miert<\/a>, the director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/skillnet.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SKILLNET project<\/a> with which Cultures of Knowledge works in close partnership, will celebrate publication in EMLO of the metadata of two key scholarly correspondences: that of <a href=\"http:\/\/emlo-portal.bodleian.ox.ac.uk\/collections\/?catalogue=guilielmus-surenhusius\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guilielmus Surenhusius [Willem Surenhuis] (61 letters)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/emlo-portal.bodleian.ox.ac.uk\/collections\/?catalogue=adriaan-reland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adriaan Reland (212 letters)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.culturesofknowledge.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Mishnah.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11057\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culturesofknowledge.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Mishnah.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"574\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Considerable team work has taken place to draw this metadata together, with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Tobias_Winnerling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Tobias Winnerling<\/a> of the MSCA project \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/fading18-20.hypotheses.org\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Fading of Remembrance. Charting the process of getting forgotten within the humanities, 18th\u201320th centuries<\/a>\u2018 contributing the calendar of correspondence for the Reland catalogue, which was in turn set out for upload to EMLO by SKILLNET team member Milo van der Pol, while Dirk van Miert, who has been in Oxford as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ochjs.ac.uk\/people\/visiting-academics\/current-visitors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Polonsky Fellow<\/a> for the past term based at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.st-annes.ox.ac.uk\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St Anne&#8217;s College<\/a>, has collated (with assistance once again from Milo back at &#8216;home base&#8217; in Utrecht) the metadata for the correspondence of Surenhusius.<\/p>\n<p>Would that there were a live stream for us to witness this launch (the grape vine has it that a red curtain is involved!).
