The PERSONÆ Project: A Web Portal for Prosopographical Databases on Fourteenth to Seventeenth Century Cultural Milieus

2013 Workshop / Monday 29 July, 2013

In this talk, Marco Gurrieri introduces PERSONÆ, a federated prosopographical storage and search facility currently under development at the University of Tours. Designed specifically for the features of late medieval and early modern prosopographical datasets, PERSONÆ provides a flexible semantic environment and a suite of tools for searching, analyzing, and visualizing contributing collections. Marco describes the technical underpinnings of the resource, its relational data model, and its clever integration with other open source tools, including Zotero and Geonames.
